Where Griff was WRONG in Week 5:
Washington at USC -8.5 – “In their last six (6) games under Lincoln Riley, in a home conference game following a loss, USC is 5-1 ATS. Washington is also 0-4 ATS this year.” – Washington is now 1-4 ATS. USC wins 25-21.
Texas State -7 at San Diego State – “SDSU cannot score…0-4 ATS. Texas State has increased their scoring each game from 7 (at Texas) to 26 to 49 to 63 points. They’re not scoring 60 in this game, but I’m betting SDSU will not hang with Texas State. (Editor’s note: After this bet was placed, it was discovered that SDSU is dealing with an outbreak of the mumps. The MUMPS!)” – SDSU wins 31-29.
Where Griff was RIGHT in Week 5:
Michigan State at Wisconsin -10 – “Perfect letdown spot for the Badgers, right? Wrong. They’ve won three straight and have covered two straight. The campus is buzzing and Camp Randall will be on Saturday. MSU just got blown out at home to Nebraska. The vibes for both teams are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum.” – Wisconsin wins 31-3.
Stanford at Wake Forest -12.5 – “(Stanford) got blown out by Duke and Miami (FL). Only other win was Week 1 at home vs Hawaii. Wake only lost 33-20 vs Miami (FL) and they went to Louisville and won. I think Stanford will struggle off an emotional home win and going cross-country.” – Wake wins 57-3.
Last week: 8-7 / 2026 record: 40-37-1 / Since 2022: 410-391-11
Dominic Toretto’s “Take it or leave it” Pick of the Week (2026: 2-4 / Overall: 25-27-1): UCF at Oklahoma State -9.5 – UCF was up 17-0 with four (4) minutes left in the 3rd quarter at Houston last week. They lost 27-17. Now they go back on the road, to an OSU team coming off a bye week, with one of the best offenses in the country and a #18 next to their name. The Cowboys have covered each of their last four (4) games. T. Boone is gonna be rocking at 11 a.m. local time Saturday.
Florida State at Louisville OVER 58.5 – UofL’s defense is awful, giving up no less than 30 points in their four (4) P4 games. They’ve scored at least 27 in each game. FSU is averaging 33 ppg. The only way this goes wrong is if UofL (on a 2-game losing streak) slows the game down at a glacial speed to try and get a win. It’s gonna be 72 degrees in Louisville Friday night, so the chances of that happening are slim.
Iowa State +10.5 at BYU – BYU’s #1 RB is out. They looked rough in a 17-10 at TCU last week. Iowa State was impressive in their 45-42 win vs West Virginia and RB Aiden Flora was great (200+ yards). Lookahead spot for BYU with Notre Dame coming to town next week.
Texas A&M at Mizzou -3.5 – Classic letdown spot, right? Not so fast. The Aggies had a ‘get right’ game beating Arkasnas 34-7. The Hogs may be the worst team in the SEC. Let’s not forget A&M lost by 10 at home to (a good) Kentucky (team) then got blown out 35-6 at LSU. I don’t think they’re good enough to win this game. For Drink, in this scenario (favored at home against an SEC team following a win), he’s 3-4 ATS but 6-1 SU. Not a great stat, but I’ll take a nearly 50/50 chance that Mizzou can cover this one.
Arizona at West Virginia OVER 61.5 – Dipping back into the WVU OVERs well. 5-0 on the year. Arizona is averaging 32 ppg.
South Carolina at Florida -12.5 – This number is too low. South Carolina is in crisis mode. Up 17-0 last week vs (a good) Kentucky (team) and lost in overtime. Blew that 17 point lead to Miss St. a few weeks ago. Lanoris Sellers might get pulled. Beamer’s seat is steaming. Florida lost last week because of the spot they were in. We bet Mizzou and won. Now, we flip the script. Florida wins this one with ease.
Oklahoma at Texas -7.5 – I really hate this pick but I think it’s the smart play. Both teams are coming off a bye. OU has not scored more than 14 points since beating UTEP Week 1 51-0. They have not covered in their last three games. I think Arch is a fraud, but Texas is just the better team right now. The Horns won 34-3 and 23-6 the past two (2) seasons. The O/U is only 39.5. This will not be fun to watch, but it will be satisfying to watch Texas cover the spread.
UCLA 1Q +3.5 at Oregon – I think this is similar to Indiana-Ohio State in 2024. OSU is 10x better than Oregon in this scenario, but the vibes are the same. UCLA is the early season darling playing really well. Oregon, despite the upset to Oklahoma State, is still a big dawg. Don’t forget the 2025 CFP: this JMUCLA staff has coached against Oregon. I think the Bruins keep it steady against Raiola and Co. early. Maybe they pull off an upset. Maybe they flounder in the second half. But they will keep it close in Q1.
Illinois at Michigan State UNDER 47.5 – This game is going to SUCK. Do not watch. Just bet and win.
Houston +2.5 at Kansas State – Houston is going to win this game with their running game. I was reading about this matchup. KSU got hosed by a good UC running game in their last loss. Houston is better at running the ball than UC is. KSU was a fun story in non-conference play, and Collin Klein will end up being a good coach, and their offense is fun (maybe take the over?), but Houston is the better team right now.
Charlotte at North Texas -28.5 – Charlotte can’t score (11 ppg vs FBS opponents) and they lost to The Citadel. Remember that team you would play Week 1 in Dynasty Mode of any CFB game growing up? Charlotte lost to that team. North Texas averages 46 ppg vs teams not named Indiana University. They beat Charlotte last year by 34 points.
San Diego State at Oregon State -15.5 – The Beavers are 5-0 ATS and look like a real wagon. They lost to Houston and Texas Tech to start the season, then won their last three (3) games by no less than 26 points. SDSU is just 1-4 ATS. OSU is 1st in the nation is passing yards/game and 8th in yards/play. SDSU’s defense is 129th and 92nd, respectively.
LSU at Kentucky +8.5 – Kroger Field at night is a daunting place to play. Lane is always due for a letdown on the road. I don’t count the loss at Ole Miss as his letdown.
North Dakota State at UNLV UNDER 47.5 – I watched (skipped through) a video on some kid’s Substack and he predicted the score to be 24-10 NDSU. He’s a UNLV guy. Anyone doing a 15-minute solo podcast about UNLV football has to know their shit. I’ll trust him.
Georgia 2H +1.5 at Alabama – How psychotic is this? In the three games between these two schools with Kirby and Kalen coaching, Georgia has outscored Bama 48-18 in the second half. They’ve won the 2H moneyline each game. If Georgia is losing at the half, this is THE live bet to make.
Hawaii at Arizona State -20.5 – This guy Collin Wilson from the Action Network is 4-0 in his ‘early week bets’ on the season.
SEC Insider Picks of the Weekend
Last week: 2-1 / 2026 record: 10-8 / Since 2022: 87-90-3
*the following is verbatim*
Mouth Watering Pick of the Week (2026: 2-3 / Overall: 22-24-1): Georgia at Alabama -1.5 – As I’ve stated before, no one is higher on the Tide than I am. Conditions should be rough. History always repeats itself. Hurts, Milroe and now Russell. Kirby struggles against the mobile QB historically. Who do you like in a street fight? The answer is usually the Tide.
Oklahoma +7.5 vs Texas – Low total in this one at O/U 39.5. Both teams are coming off a bye. 2 good defenses. I like this one to come down to the wire.
Ole Miss -9.5 at Vanderbilt – Tough back to back for Vanderbilt here. If Ole Miss is who we thought they were, the win by 10+ here. Golding should give Curtis some crazy looks. Vandy’s defense is ultra agressive in the blitz, I think that’s trouble some against Trinidad.
Insider Dash’s Prop-aganda Parlay of the Week
2026 record: 0-5/$10 bettor = -$50
*the following is verbatim*
Avery Johnson+Arch Manning+Keelon Russell+Trinidad Chambliss – 300+ passing+rushing yards each = +5355 on DK ($10 to win $535)
Everything negative – pressure, challenges – is all an opportunity for me to rise. (Editor’s note: I’m beginning to think Dash does not really care about this blog or parlay.)
Prem League Advisor Pick of the Weekend
2026 record: 2-3 / Since 2023: 15-16

Bournemouth Double Chance +115
The sub advisor again has helped us out with this one. This is a side that competes. Coming off of the 2 week international break, Chelsea had a lot of guys in action. Bournemouth on the other hand should be rested and ready to go. I like these guys to grind out at least an away draw if not an outright win.
