College Football Picks Week 2, 2026

Gonna keep this one short and simple.

The blog picks went 6-6 last week but I went 3-1 on Sunday. That’s 9-7 in Week 1 for any of you English majors.

It was a pleasure to see the SEC Insider, which may or not be any one of us, finish with a winning week.

The Prem League Advisor is off to a hot start of 0-2 this blog season. Now, this person is betting against Ed Sheeran on Saturday. Let’s see how that goes.

And I’m glad to have Insider Dash joining us. His 6-leg ATTD parlay went 3/6. They’re not all gonna hit. But you better not miss it when it does.

Where Griff was WRONG in Week 1:

Abilene Christian at Texas Tech -42.5 – “I believe they will do everything in their power to win this game by 100 points. All we need is 43.” – Tech only won by 23. The Toretto is now 1-1 on the season.

Oklahoma State -13.5 at Tulsa – “OSU has all the North Texas guys from last year, including coach and QB. The Mean Green were a fan favorite of this blog last season. I’m hoping the trend carries over.” – (Tommy Wiseau voice) It did naht. OSU lost 24-10.

Where Griff was RIGHT in Week 1:

Bryant at Army -36.5 – “Respect the troops.” – We do and we will. Army won 59-3.

FIU +14.5 at South Florida – “People forget that Brian Hartline is the head coach of USF.” – People forgot, but not us. USF won 19-9.

Let’s get to the picks.

Last week: 9-7 / Since 2022: 380-361-10

Dominic Toretto’s “Take it or leave it” Pick of the Week (Overall: 24-24-1): Louisiana Tech at LSU -35.5 – I’m riding the Lane-train.

Rutgers at Boston College -3 – “Red Bandana” game. On 9/11. Rutgers just lost a game, and $1.5M, to UMass. What else do you need to know?

Oklahoma 1H -3 at Michigan – The 5.5 full game line is just weird. Oklahoma looked awesome in Week 1. Michigan…………………………………………………………..Point is, this line is fishy. Why isn’t Oklahoma favored by more? Sure, it’s at the Big House, but we all saw how Michigan played. There’s a lot of talk about Michigan’s backup QB, CJ Carr’s little brother. Idk how the game ends, but Underwood is gonna play like shit, get pulled, and maybe the Carr kid gives TTUN a boost in the second half. Or maybe I’m way overthinking this. Fade me.

Penn State -23.5 at Temple – I picked them to make the CFP before the season started. I’m choosing to believe last week was not a mirage.

Old Dominion at Virginia Tech -19.5 – James Franklin can’t win the big one, but he’s still a good coach who wins games he’s supposed to win. VT won 73-3 last week against a shitty FCS team. I don’t know what kind of team ODU is, but they’re not “the big one.”

Washington State at Kansas State -19.5 – I think Colin Klein might actually know what he’s doing. He helped make Texas A&M a good offense and now he’s doing it at his alma mater. KSU won 71-3 last week (against Nicholls(???)). WSU covered against Washington, but that’s a rivalry game. It mattered more. This one doesn’t.

USF at Army -3.5 – Respect the troops.

Utah State at Washington -26.5 – I think Washington will look like a top 25 team in this game. Again, last week was a rivalry game and WSU had all offseason to plan for that game. Washington still won by 14. Utah State lost to Idaho State last week. I don’t know what that really means for us, but I don’t think it’s good for Utah State. This will be an easy cover.

Rice at Notre Dame -44.5 – Prove it.

San Diego State at UCLA -11.5 – I watched almost the whole UCLA-Cal game last week. UCLA is legit. Not “threat to make the playoff” legit, but “yeah, we can beat SDSU by at least 12 points” legit.

Ohio State +1.5 at Texas – I’m a B1G guy.

Iowa Sate +14 at Iowa – Since 2011 (14 games), this game has been decided by more than 14 points just one time (Iowa won 42-3 in 2016).

North Dakota State at Air Force +2.5 – I read this article and am convinced that Air Force will win this game. TLDR; NDSU hasn’t played in the western time zone since 2024 and haven’t played this late (10 p.m. ET) since 2024 at Colorado. I think they’re a fun story: 2-0 in their first year in the FBS. But they don’t have any teams like Air Force (or Navy or Army) in the FCS. This will be an early “welcome to the FBS” moment for the Bison.

SEC Insider Picks of the Weekend

Last week: 2-1 / Since 2022: 80-85-3

*the following is verbatim*

Never listen to the mainstream bias. Weinberg may be on to something with that. That Georgia team was always going to cover after everyone ran with that stat. Winning week none the less. Gosh is it good to be back.

Mouth Watering Pick of the Week (6-8 in 2025 / 20-22-1 overall): Ohio State at Texas -1.5
I don’t just like it, I love it. Sark has to get this all right eventually, right? Too much money and resources not too [sic]. I think they really upgraded in personnel and coaching this year. Muschamp is one of the best in the business. Julian Sayin is too nebbish to go into this environment and win.

Tennessee -12.5 at Georgia Tech – I think this GT team is bad? [sic] Why [sic] because I think that Colorado team that beat this [sic] is horrific and some how came away with a victory. Vols offense is too much for GT. Vols be [sic] 2+ scores. (Editor’s note: 2+ scores could be 9 points)

Oklahoma -5.5 at Michigan – This Michigan team is bad. What an embarrassment to storm the field after sneaking away with one against a mid-major. Venables [sic] defense should give Underwood fits. This Oklahoma team can compete for the SEC. B1G might be overrated this year. Boomer.

Insider Dash’s Prop-aganda Parlay of the Week

2026 record: 0-1/$10 bettor = -$10

*the following is verbatim*

CJ Baxter (Kentucky) – 50+ rushing yards / Daniel Hill (Alabama) – 40+ rushing yards / Avery Johnson (Kansas State) – 300+ passing+rushing yards / Jeremiah Smith (tOSU) – 60+ receiving yards = +1491 on Draft Kings ($10 to win $159)

This is a lock. Do you like money? Good. Take this.

Prem League Advisor Pick of the Weekend

2026 record: 0-2 / Since 2023: 13-15

*the following is verbatim*

Crystal Palace ML -115 vs. Ipswich Town

(Editor’s note: Ed Sheeran is a minority owner in Ipswich Town, for whatever that may mean to you)

I’m blind. Not seeing the ball well. May have lost it, but still I show up. Palace at home and have beaten Ipswich in 5 straight meetings. I watched palace [sic] last week and they can score. Hoping CP can pull through in a high scoring affair[.]
